HORTICULTURAL IMPORT TO INDONESIA

The Ministry of Agriculture noted, for 2021 that as per now, 157,052 tonnes of horticultural import recommendations were submitted. There are 83,000 tonnes of vegetables and 73,000 tonnes of fruits. Detailed the various horticultural products that were proposed. First, there are onions with the number volume of 35,624 tons, garlic as many as with a volume of 46,980 tons. Furthermore, there were carrots with a volume of 1,092 tons, orange 10,670 tons, mandarin 9,916 tons, 128 tons of grapefruit, 7,400 tons of lemons, 28,811 tons of grapes, 15,232 tons of apples and 1,200 tons of longan fruit. When detailed by country, these products are imported from South Africa, the United States, Argentina, Australia, China, Chile, Japan, Canada, South Korea, New Zealand, Pakistan, France and Thailand. Meanwhile, that in 2020 there were 2.71 million tonnes of proposed import recommendations for Horticultural Products, but due to Covid-19, the realization of imports was only 883,415 tonnes.
