Medical Supply trade trend to spike high during COVID-19
Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated, until August 2020, industry players in Indonesia had succeeded in exporting masks and various medical devices (medical equipment) to prevent Covid-19 worth up to USD 209.4 million

China's Ministry of Commerce said the country had exported more than 220 billion masks by 2020. That number is equivalent to nearly 40 masks per person outside China as demand for masks has increased during the pandemic.

Since the pandemic, the number of exports worth billions of US dollars has become an important driver for China's economy, which was disrupted by the emergence of the Corona virus.

Deputy Trade Minister Qian Keming told reporters that apart from masks, China exported 2.3 billion units of protective gear and one billion COVID-19 test kits in 2020. This export is said to have made an important contribution to the global war against the Corona pandemic.
