Project to build 24 Thousand Electric Car Charging Stations
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has assigned PT PLN (Persero) to build 24,720 units of charging stations for electric vehicles or electric cars (charging stations) throughout Indonesia in the next 10 years. Currently, Indonesia only has 100 charging station units.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that the current charging stations are scattered at gas stations, Gas Fuel Filling Stations (SPBG), offices, hotels, shopping centers, parking areas, and rest areas on toll roads. The target is there will be 2 million electric cars and 3 million electric motors by 2030.

These efforts are believed to be able to reduce fuel consumption by up to 77 thousand barrels of oil per day, as well as reduce greenhouse emissions by 7.23 million tons of CO2 equivalent.
