Ceramic Tile Industry Investment
General Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Ceramic Industries (Asaki) Edy Suyanto said that his party sees that the opportunity for the domestic ceramic market is still wide open. This is based on the average consumption of ceramics per capita in Indonesia which is only 1.4 square meters (m2), much lower than the average consumption of ceramics per capita in South East Asia region of around 2.5 m2.

The ceramic industry needs a new investment of US$ 750 million to increase national production capacity in order to meet future domestic market demands. It also will provides up to 20.000 jobs for people.
