ICT 5G implementation in Indonesia

There are 13 regions that will receive the first 5G network in Indonesia. These provisions are contained in Ministerial Regulation Number 2 of 2021 concerning the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo). The 5G implementation plan, according to the Ministry, must be supported by adequate infrastructure. After the infrastructure is available, Kominfo will focus on deploying 5G in 13 cities with the following details: 1. Capital City (IKN) 2. Six Provincial Capitals in Java Island 3. Six Super Priority Tourist Destinations 4. One manufacturing industrial area
